PWN Consulting opened its doors for business way back in August 2001 in Centurion, South Africa. We have since then rendered services in Czech Republic, South Africa, Sweden and Canada. Since our clients are located all over the world, we thought it appropriate to open our new office in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
We continue to provide market leading service to clients in South Africa, while we grow our portfolio with exciting new clients locally in Canada. Having spent the past 15 months in both the coldest as well as warmest places we have ever visited (Winnipeg and Surrey, respectively), we believe we have gained valuable insights as to the unique challenges and opportunities specific to Canadian businesses.
Watch this space for updates during the next couple of months as we are sure to encounter some amazing opportunities on our new journey. And enjoy our new look! |

We believe that our experience and understanding of building rich internet applications will help further the portfolio of services F.H. Black & Company can offer their clients. |

This will be the fourth branding iteration since PWN Consulting started doing business way back in 2001. This time we decided to modernise our brand by utilising clean lines and vivid colours, emphasising our adaptability.
We firmly believe that in business, you are initially judged by the way you present yourself. Since we support open standards, the new website supports this by continuing the trend of being standards compliant - in this case XHTML and CSS.
To prove our attention to detail, try our web site on any modern web browser - be it Internet Explorer 5,6 or 7 (Vista), Opera 9, Safari 2, FireFox 1.5 - even Lynx (the Unix text client). The same attention to detail will be clearly evident in any product we create for our clients.
Enjoy! |

Today is the release of BugZapper II - first announced on 17 November 2004. It has been running stable as PWN Consulting's Defect Tracking system of choice for several months now. The last major additions were made a month ago, and since BugZapper II passed QA with flying colours it is ready for GA (General Availability).
The production version can be found here. It is being actively used by two of our major customers at the moment. If you are interested in using it in your own company, please feel free to contact us. |

LogMon about to be released |

PWN Consulting is about to release a brand new component that forms part of the WebMVC suite of frameworks. This component is called LogMon. It is a sophisticated J2EE based logging and monitoring solution for any application - be that J2EE or J2SE based Java, C++, Perl etc.
We say "about to release" because we have made no official release, however we consider it stable enough that it has been deployed on this server. We are just waiting for the DNS changes to take effect. Once it has proven stable enough in our production environment, we will announce its release officially. The high level architecture is shown below:

LogMon forms part of WebMVC 2.00 which is currently very close to completion. The DBLayer's caching subsystem has been significantly enhanced to support much more complex queries. Several other enhancements to the framework had found their way in. Check back soon for the release announcement.
